Parents and families are the heart of South Salem Little League. Your energy and support make our community strong. From cheering in the stands to helping with team needs, you give kids the chance to learn the game, building teamwork and discipline. Thanks for making every run and high-five possible. Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines at games and practices:

  • Cheer Positively: Encourage all players, and keep the cheers supportive and kind.
  • Respect Coaches and Officials: Let coaches coach and officials make the calls. Respect their decisions.
  • Be a Good Sport: Set a great example for the kids by showing sportsmanship, whether we win or lose.
  • Keep It Family-Friendly: Please avoid offensive language or behavior. Let’s keep the games fun for all ages!
  • Follow Requests from Coaches and Umpires: Coaches and umpires have the authority to address any inappropriate behavior and may ask individuals to leave if necessary.

Residency and School Attendance Eligibility Checklist

Players are eligible to play with that league only if they reside within the official league boundaries.

OR

The physical location of the school where they attend classes is within the official league boundaries. 

Residency Shall be Established By:


Documents that show the full home address, including the name of the parent(s) or court-appointed guardian(s), street address, city, state, and zip code. These documents should be dated or valid between February 1 of last year and February 1 of this year. You need at least one document from EACH of the three groups listed below.


Note 1: Three documents from the same group constitute only ONE document.

Note 2:
Certain documents may be used in different Groups, but will count for only one Group per child. Example – If a water/sewer bill is used to satisfy Group II as a municipal record, that same bill CANNOT be used as a utility bill to satisfy Group III.

School Attendance Shall be Established by:


School attendance must be verified only if the residency option is not used to determine eligibility. You will need a document showing enrollment for the current school year, dated before October 1 of last year, and including the school's physical address. The document must be from ONE of the following options:

  • The School Enrollment Form provided by Little League International
  • Official/Certified enrollment record, confirming current enrollment, that includes the school's physical address and the original signature of the school's senior administrator (principal, headmaster, etc.)
NOTE: A school-issued report card/performance record will no longer be accepted to establish school attendance.

South Salem Little League Refund Policy

Prior to Tryouts (AAA, Majors, 50/70 or Juniors) or Prior to the First Practice (T-ball, A, AA): All fees will be refunded minus $20 online transaction fees.

After Tryouts (AAA, Majors, 50/70 or Juniors) or After the First Practice (T-ball, A, AA): No refunds granted without board approval. Refunds will be prorated based on time actually played.

To submit a refund request, please send an email to [email protected] with the following:

  • Include Refund Request in the subject line
  • Player's Name
  • Parent's Name
  • Division the Player was registered in
  • Reason for Refund

Please allow 2 weeks for the refund to be processed.

Scholarship Info

South Salem Little League aims to make baseball and softball accessible to all while ensuring the league’s financial health. Our organization is a not-for-profit and run entirely by volunteers. Scholarships are available based on our budget, community sponsorships, and total registrations. Please only apply if paying the registration fee would create a genuine financial hardship.

Scholarship Application Process:

  1. Complete the normal league registration process for your player(s)
  2. Send an email to [email protected] to receive the link to our simple scholarship application form.
  3. Once the form is submitted, our scholarship committee will review your application and notify you if a scholarship is granted.

We appreciate any optional contribution to help cover the cost of a player’s hat, jersey, and league charter fee. Additionally, we ask that scholarship recipients’ families support the league as volunteers whenever possible. Thank you for helping us keep South Salem Little League strong and accessible!

  • Player Evaluations (Required for League Age 8 and up)
  • Documentation Night (Required for all players)

  • Fall Season Registration
